Winrar is an archiving program. It will open and create zip files.

Your computer is set to open archive files with Acrobat. That isn’t going to work and results in the Acrobat icon being used for the backup files.
The solution.
Download WinRar from https://www.rarlab.com/download.htm. You want the x64 64 bit version. Follow the default prompts.
Then follow how to change file extentions. Set the archives to open with winrar. https://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/how-to-change-file-associations/. When you install winrar the backup files might change icons on their own.
